Computer supremo Bill Gates (43) is a wealthy man. Reputedly worth around £65 billion give or take £100 million, you might wonder what a person might do with all that money. Gates is more inventive than most. Having been refused membership of the prestigeous Augusta National where the US Masters is played annually, and having suffered the humiliation of been ticked off by officials at the Vintage Country Club in Indian Wells for wearing a T-shirt while playing, Gates has decided to circumvent such frustrations by building his own club near Palm Springs.
The 26-handicap golfer is reputedly asking his friend Jack Nicklaus to design the course. One profoundly welcome feature about Gates's new venture is that there will be absolutely no dress code.
