GRAHAM GERAGHTY who laid on the pass for Meath's crucial second goal said yesterday that he would be open to offers to play soccer.
Two seasons ago Geraghty (23) went to Arsenal for a trial but had not given serious thought to making soccer a full time career since.
"I wouldn't mind going back to soccer if I got the right offer," he says.
Geraghty feels that Sunday's fracas got rid of a lot of tension. "Nobody got hurt. Vhen there are more involved in a situation like that a lot less happens."
Mayo County Board chairman, Father Noel Forde, said that he has been making decisions all his life and is proud of the ones he made but relating to Sunday's match flare up he "wondered if the people who made decisions yesterday could be proud of them".
Meanwhile, Noel Lane, the manager of the beaten Galway minor hurling team will not be continuing in the position.
Five members of the Mayo team will be in action for the Rest of Ireland team in the annual GOAL Challenge match against the All Ireland champions in Navan tomorrow.
They are goalkeeper John Madden full back Kevin Cahill wing back Pat Holmes wing forward James Horan and full forward John Casey.
