Andrew Dunne's expectations will be muted; an injury free season would be something to be cherished. The Old Belvedere outhalf has been cruelly dogged by injury since finishing a glittering schools career. His tenure as outhalf with the national schools side marked him as an outstanding talent but injury and circumstances have combined to thwart his ambition.
Arm and leg injuries have seen him sidelined for large chunks of the last two seasons. Happily restored to fitness, he has been included in the last two under-21 matches, coming off the bench against Italy and playing from the start against France, albeit on the wing, an acknowledgment of his searing pace. He possesses great ability and given an extended run of matches should realise his potential.
