Uefa Under-21 Championship: Complacency is the watchword for Don Givens's Ireland as they hope to complete their passage to the group stage of the Uefa qualifiers tonight.
"The team has been working hard all week and we're all quite focused," said Scunthorpe's Andy Keogh, who scored both goals as Ireland came from behind to win the first leg in Baku last Thursday. "We got the result we needed out there in difficult conditions and hopefully we can finish off the job tonight," added Dubliner Keogh, who'll be looking for a goal to celebrate turning 20 on Tuesday.
With the exception of Walsall's Rene Gilmartin coming into goal for his full debut, as UCD's Darren Quigley is suspended having been sent off in the last minute of the first leg, Givens has named the same team in a 4-3-3 formation.
"Having done the bulk of the work we just want to finish it off," said Givens. "We're very aware that if you are not careful you could be thinking it's done. We've the example of Huddersfield in the play-offs who go and win in Barnsley 1-0 and then lose 3-1 at home. Complacency won't be an issue."
Though they must score at least twice, Givens doesn't expect the visitors to be as attack-minded as in Baku, while he expects their fitness to be affected by the arduous journey.
Waterford midfielder Stephen Grant has been called into the squad as Bohemians striker Stephen Ward pulled out yesterday with an ankle injury.
IRELAND (4-3-3): Gilmartin (Walsall); Foley (Luton Town), R Keogh (Bristol City), Bruce (Birmingham City), Painter (Birmingham City); Flood (Manchester City), Keegan (Drogheda United), Timlin (Fulham); O'Donovan (Cork City), A Keogh (Scunthorpe United), McGeady (Celtic).
