Munster School's Senior Cup:Glenstal Abbey 23 Crescent Comprehensive 16  OUTHALF MICHAEL O'Flynn kicked 13 points for Glenstal Abbey as his side beat Crescent Comprehensive in this first-round tie at Clanwilliam.

After an evenly contested first half which ended 6-6, Glenstal took the initiative in the second period when Dan Heffernan crashed over for a try following a series of rucks after 42 minutes.

A minute into the second half O'Flynn had edged his side in front with a drop goal having kicked two first half penalties and his conversion meant Crescent had a mountain to climb.

A penalty by Ben Sargent cut the deficit but the issue was put beyond reach when Glenstal had a second try by Andy Ryan which O'Flynn converted. Aran Healy had a late try for Crescent which Sargent, who also kicked two first-half penalties, converted from the touchline.
