Go Roger Go, a winner over fences at the Galway, Tralee and Listowel festivals, is one of a strong entry for next Monday's £12,500 Kilbegnet Novice Chase at Roscommon.

The Edward O'Grady seven-year-old may be opposed by More Than A Stroll, unbeaten in two runs over fences for the Arthur Moore stable. Two useful hurdlers, Saxophone and Snow Dragon, are also scheduled to make their chasing debuts in the two-mile contest.

"The race has consistently been used for some of our top young horses as a stepping stone before going on to bigger and better things," said Roscommon racecourse manager Michael Finneran. Aidan O'Brien has kept his options open for his strong two-year-old team by leaving no fewer than 12 colts in the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster on October 23rd.

He can choose from the likes of Royal Lodge Stakes winner Royal Kingdom, Royal Ascot scorer Bach and Zentsov Street.
