Limerick preview: David Wachman provided the St Stephen's Day feature winner at Limerick with Cane Brake and the trainer can successfully wind up the Christmas festival courtesy of Golden Exchange in the opening maiden hurdle.

Both he and the Edward O'Grady-trained Coppet come to Limerick on the back of runner-up efforts last time out but there appeared to be a bit more merit in Golden Exchange's second to Tacitus at Fairyhouse.

Another runner that comes here on the back of a second placing is Paddys Girl who ran into a hot opponent here on Monday when Albertini sluiced away to win easily.

Today's two and a quarter mile handicap hurdle looks a competitive heat with Gerry Cully's Markason looking to hold his chance but Paddys Girl could have the chance to go one better this time.

The locally-trained Gaza Strip was a bumper winner at Fairyhouse on her last start and looks to have a good chance of following up in the mares maiden hurdle.

Pearly Jack looked sure to follow up a Thurles success here on Monday when challenging after the last but was eventually run out of it by Carrodown Storm.

Despite being the top weight, there could be better luck for him in today's handicap chase.
