US TOUR: Brett Wetterich shot a 64 on the TPC Las Colinas yesterday to share the clubhouse lead with Adam Scott as the early finishers completed their second rounds in the EDS Byron Nelson Championship.
Joe Ogilvie and Omar Uresti share second place on seven-under-par. Ernie Els carded a 69 at Cottonwood Valley for a three-under total of 137 while England's Justin Rose was amongst a group of six at two under after a 67, also at Cottonwood Valley.
CHALLENGE TOUR: Brian McElhinney made his first cut as a professional at the European Challenge Tour's Parco di Monza Challenge yesterday, after an anxious wait at the Golf Club Milano.
The Donegal 24-year old, who had missed cuts in Italy for the previous two weekends after starting his professional career a fortnight ago, breathed a huge sigh of relief as he was informed that his one over par total of 143 was good enough to survive the weekend, albeit right on the cut line. McElhinney was the only Irishman to make the cut, while Spain's Juan Parron leads on seven under par 135.
LET TOUR: Rebecca Coakley missed the cut by one shot as French Solheim Cup player Gwladys Nocera posted a four-under-par 68 to take a five-shot lead in the Spanish Open at Panoramica Golf and Country Club.
