Junior Cup/Gonzaga College 8 St Gerard's School 5:Gonzaga shaded this Leinster Schools Junior Cup tie at Anglesea Road yesterday. Gonzaga set up camp in their opponents 22 and from phased ball, Gonzaga captain Stephen Murphy released centre Barry Daly for a try out on the right.

St Gerard's pulled a penalty kick wide on 11 minutes and missed two more in the first half. Gonzaga stretched their lead with five minutes to go courtesy of a Stephen Murphy penalty before Keith Carroll crossed for St Gerard's.
