COLLEGES FOOTBALL CORN UÍ MHUIRÍ: WITH THREE wins and one draw, Kerry teams enjoyed a successful day yesterday in the Munster Colleges senior football championship (Corn Uí Mhuirí).

Tralee CBS, last year's beaten finalists, put Tipperary Colleges to the sword at Croagh 2-13 to 0-8 and advance as group winners.

Kieran Hurley kicked some fine points as they led 0-7 to 0-1 at half-time. Goals from Fergal Maunsell and Kieran Hurley sealed victory.

Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne defeated Macroom 2-16 to 0-10 having led 2-8 to 0-7 at the interval. Leroy Murphy kicked 0-4 and set up goals for Brian Devane and Paul Geaney. The Dingle side, despite losing to St Flannan's, are through to the play-offs with a superior points difference.
