The women's representative teams at Gort have been enjoying a real purple patch in recent times. Defending their All-Ireland Ulster Bank title, they made the best of starts when they defeated Galway Bay on home soil 2 1/2-1/2.

That victory means they must travel for the next round to face Portumna on Wednesday, May 23rd.

Meanwhile, in the Lina Black competition they were 4-1 winners over Tuam, while their intermediate side defeated Oughterard 3-2.

The club have also qualified for the next round of the Connacht Trophy, having come through the qualifying stage at Galway.
