GOWRAN Park’s high-profile meeting today, due to stage the Connolly’s Red Mills Thyestes Chase, has been postponed until Saturday.

Severe frost overnight is forecast for the course and officials made an early decision to reschedule the fixture.

General manager Margaret Fogarty said: “We’ve postponed until Saturday given the forecast tonight and tomorrow. We have a better forecast over the weekend so hopefully we’ll be able to race on Saturday.”

The meeting at Navan originally scheduled for Saturday will now take place on Tuesday, January 25th.
