Grey Swallow could yet have one more start for trainer Dermot Weld in the $750,000 Grade One United Nations Stakes at Monmouth Park in New Jersey in eight days.

The 2004 Irish Derby winner ran an unlucky third at Belmont last weekend, which was intended to be Grey Swallow's last start for Weld before being switched to an American trainer.

But reported negotiations with Australian interests for the sale of the colt to race in Australia mean Grey Swallow could yet try to secure a third top-level success for Weld.

Grey Swallow, bred by Weld's mother, Marguerite, also won last year's Tattersalls Gold Cup. The trainer was critical of the ride the horse got from Alex Solis in last weekend's Manhattan Handicap behind Cacique.
