UCD - 2 Belgrove - 0 UCD are into the third round courtesy of a Robbie Griffin brace, his second and third goals in two games.
Griffin's opening goal came five minutes from the break when he slid the ball home after some good play by Robbie Martin on the left wing. Martin dazzled past two Belgrove defenders, picked Griffin out and the frontman slid the ball home with great style.
The second goal was made of much sterner stuff as Griffin took advantage of a congested box to slam home from six-yards.
