There we were, browsing through the pages of London's Evening Standard last week when this hard-to-believe-but-it-must-be-true story jumped out at us. Writing about the Masters indoors tournament in Nottingham Martin Chilton reported that the highlight of the evening was "seeing Liam Brady get sent off for slapping Steve Hodge, and Eddi e McGoldrick taking some retribution against Hodge".
