Having led 17-12 at the break, De La Salle turned in a fine display of free flowing rugby in the second half to take complete control over a committed Wexford CBS side at Anglesea Road. The outstanding figures were the De La Salle half-back pairing of Colm Finnegan and Thomas Campbell. Campbell scored four excellent tries while also kicking two conversions with Finnegan getting over for two tries. In a dominant side, the remaining tries came from Declan McCabe and Derek Crilly.

Wexford CBS played promisingly in the first half with the pack gaining some good possession. They had tries in this period from Brendan Scallan and Dara Golden, one of which Andy Lahane converted. Shane Murphy scored their second-half try.
