Golf – early update:Pádraig Harrington moved to within two shots of the overnight lead during the early stages of the third round of the Deutsche Bank Championship in Boston today.
The three-time major winner opened with two birdies in quick succession to move to 10-under par, two behind the American pairing of Jim Furyk and Jerry Kelly.
Kelly muscled his way into a share of the lead with no less than six birdies on the front nine. He dropped a shot at the fifth but five-under for the day was good enough to join Furyk on 12-under. Furyk was level after three holes.
Tiger Woods was having a tournament to forget by his lofty standards as the world number one was two-over for the day through 14 holes to be three-under overall.
