Honda Classic:Padraig Harrington was disappointed not to have made more headway after finishing the third round of the Honda Classic tied for seventh.
The Irishman, who won the event in 2005, is in a group of six tied for seventh at one-under after carding a level par 70.
"I certainly thought there were lots of possibilities to score out there today," said Harrington, who bogeyed two of his last three holes.
Mark Wilson is the leader going into the final day and knows how it would feel if he were to seal a maiden PGA Tour victory at Palm Beach Gardens.
Wilson carded a second consecutive four-under-par 66 to head Boo Weekley by one stroke.
"If I can walk off that green and know I'll be exempt through 2009, it'll be just a great feeling," said Wilson, ranked 265th in the world and yet to record a career win in 110 tournaments.
"But it's more about the journey, enjoying the whole journey that I've gone on.
"I played in the 1991 PGA Junior here, for instance. And here I am, 16 years later, with a chance to win on the PGA Tour."
Wilson moved to the top of the leaderboard on six under par after a birdie at the par-five 18th, his fourth of the day to go with an eagle and two bogies.
Weekley, who had previously been plying his trade on the Nationwide Tour from 2003, also shot a 66 to lie one stroke off the lead.
Coupled with rounds of 71 and 68, the 34-year-old is as a surprised as anybody to be in contention for his first PGA Tour victory.
"When I played the practice round, I didn't think I had a chance," said Weekley, who had finished a career-best sixth last week in Mexico.
"The golf course, I didn't think it was set up for me real well."
Sweden's Daniel Chopra is two shots back after shooting a 68, while South Korean Charlie Wi and Australian Robert Allenby, who both entered the third round tied for the lead, cannot be discounted despite struggling on Saturday.
Wi shot a two over par 72, one shot better than Allenby, to lie on three under overall, a stroke in front of the Australian, who is tied with Steve Stricker.
Defending champion Luke Donald shot a two over par 72 and is a long way back in a tie for 61st on six over par.
