Golf:A double bogey on he fourth hole at the TPC River Highlands Championship in Connecticut left Ireland's Padraig Harrington trailing the field after the first round when he shot 69.
The leader in the clubhouse was Australian Natahn Green who shot an early round of 65.
Harrington’s six on the fourth hole broke what was looking like a promising run as he birdied the first and second, shot par on the third before stumbling to the six on the par 4 fourth. He then compounded the run when he bogeyed the par 3 fifth to drop three shots over the two holes.
Like a true champion he birdied the fifth hole to steady the ship immediately and get a shot back and from there on it was pars all the way apart from the 12th hole where he birdied again.
So it was a mixed bag from the Dubliner after a good showing last weekend in San Francisco. Harrington will be back in Ireland next week for the Irish Open in Portrush which is breaking records already in ticket sales.
