Golf:Ken Duke posted the early target at Pebble Beach National Pro-Am last night, after coming home in 28 at Pebble Beach. The 43-year-old reached the turn on level par but carded six birdies and an eagle to sign for a 64.
At Monterey Peninsula, Ireland’s Pádraig Harrington enjoyed his second nine as well, thanks to birdies at the first, second and ninth, and an eagle at six. Having reached the turn in 38 it was good enough for three under.
Tiger Woods made a confident start to his 2012 PGA Tour campaign, mixing three birdies with a lone bogey in his first nine holes at Pebble Beach, before a birdie at the first took him to three under.
He went on to birdie the third but a bogey at the next meant he stayed at three under through 13.
Naturalised New Zealander Danny Lee, originally from South Korea, was on course at Pebble Beach to surpass Duke, on nine under with two to play.
Fellow Korean Charlie Li, was also nine under after 15 at Monterey Peninsula.
At Spyglass Hill, Nick Watney post the best score so far, with a six-under-par 66.
