OUR Lady’s Templemore produced a clinical performance against Midleton CBS in yesterday’s quarter-final replay to win by 1-16 to 0-6.

They will face Charleville CBS in the semi-finals.

Templemore led by 1-7 to 0-5 before restricting Midleton to just a single point in the second half, while tacking on nine of their own.

Jason Bergin scored the goal in the eighth minute after Midleton goalkeeper William McCarthy had kept out a drive from Jason Hassett.

McCarthy pulled off a string of saves, including a penalty block from Liam McGrath as the sliotar deflected over the crossbar.

* HOLDERS Ard Scoil Rís defeated Thurles CBS by 1-19 to 1-10 in yesterday’s delayed quarter-final at Seán Treacy Park in Tipperary town. Centre forward Shane Dowling hit 0-9 while John Fitzgibbon hit 1-2 for the winners in a fiery encounter.

Ard Scoil Rís led at the break by 1-10 to 0-6, and by 1-18 to 0-9 with six minutes of normal time remaining, before Thurles substitute Kevin Slattery scored a goal to bring respectability to the scoreline.

Ard Scoil Rís’ Mark Ryan and Thurles’ Michael O’Brien were red-carded following a mass brawl.
