St Patrick's Classical School, Navan, made the semi-finals for the first time with centre John Brady helping himself to three tries at Castleknock College yesterday.
After an early penalty from outhalf Cian Murphy, their first try came after eight minutes following good play from the St Patrick's pack. The ball was then moved out wide with Brady taking a pass from Cian Murphy to score in the corner.
Front row Niall O'Connell, an early replacement for injured prop David McAteer, then combined with scrumhalf Brian Forrestal to set up Brady for his second score and Murphy duly converted to take his team into double figures.
St Patrick's put further light between themselves and St Conleth's when full back Alan McCormack embarked on a fine solo run before supplying left wing Phil Culligan who made the St Conleth's line from 20 yards out.
St Conleth's responded with a penalty from full back Shane O'Connell before Brady completed his hat-trick with seven minutes to go.
