Hawriyah could be on course for the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot after getting her head in front at the third attempt this season in the listed EBF Conqueror Stakes at Goodwood yesterday.

John Dunlop's daughter of Dayjur made all for Richard Hills, sticking on down the centre of the course to beat Balisada by two lengths.

Henry Cecil and Kieren Fallon, who had a forgettable day at the same venue on Wednesday, saw things take a turn for the better as seasonal debutant Great Dane won the Listed Bt Alex Brown Festival Stakes over a mile and a quarter.

Having tracked the lead, Fallon committed his partner to the front two and a half furlongs from the finish and the four-year-old proved a length and a quarter too strong for Diamond White.
