Sports Digest: CricketMatthew Hayden is set for further scans on his broken toe to determine if he will miss next month's World Cup.
The Australia opener underwent tests on Monday on the injury after being struck by the ball in his side's Chappell-Hadlee Series defeat to New Zealand in Hamilton.
"I am having scans on Monday and then, hopefully, I will be in a clearer position," he said.
Hayden soldiered on at the crease, carrying his bat in an Australian one-day-international record knock of 181.
His loss would be a major blow for the world champions, who currently have seamer Brett Lee and all-rounder Andrew Symonds on the sidelines.
