SEAMUS Heffernan has lodged an appeal against the decision of the stewards to suspend him for two days after he was found to have weighed in 1lb lighter following the running of the Heineken Handicap at Bellewstown last Thursday. The jockey, who discarded waterproof breeches after weighing out, won the race on Eternal Joy.
