Now most modern rugby internationals would consider themselves hip and trendy, perhaps influencing a younger generation. When it comes to musical taste, one can usually rely on the young rugby internationals to plump for bands that are arguably a little obscure and too loud for older folk.
Not the case with Springbok star Breyton Paulse (above), South Africa's Player of the Year. The brilliant right wing, left out of yesterday's international against Ireland, shares his musical taste with a million teenage girls. When asked for his favourite bands, he considered for a few seconds before settling on Boyzone and also professing a liking for Backstreet Boys. Louis Walsh take note.
