THIS EVENING’S racing at Wexford sees Hill Fairy try to secure some minor compensation for missing the Galway Plate in the two-mile flat handicap, writes Brian O’Connor.
John Morrison’s mare was fancied to overcome her inexperience over fences in the Plate but was taken out of the race in the morning due to being in season. She has topweight today but won a flat race at Galway last season off just 4lbs lower than today and should play a major part.
Tawaagg had a happier time at Ballybrit, winning a hurdle race easily, and can also successfully revert to the flat in the amateur race, while Blue Ridge Lane can get the better of Leblon in the maiden.
* Racing in Tipperary this Sunday is in doubt with the track currently unraceable and an inspection is planned for 2pm tomorrow afternoon.
