What's Up Boys was returning from a long absence at the Berkshire track but looked fit enough to do himself justice and so it proved.

He raced prominently throughout and rallied in very determined fashion to get up after looking beat after jumping the last.

But he found his way over to the stands' rail and got up in the dying strides to deny Behrajan by a neck.

His previous outing came in the Whitbread Gold Cup at Sandown back in April when he put up a fine performance to chase home Ad Hoc.

Today's race will test his stamina to the limit but there is every reason to believe he will be involved in the finish.
