Michael Hoey had the perfect end to an excellent season when he won the individual prize at an international event in Argentina last week.

Portmarnock's Noel Fox partnered Hoey and the Irish pair finished fourth from a field of 27 nations. Hoey had rounds of 69, 74, 71 and 72. The Irish pair led at the halfway mark in the team event but in such a high-class field were edged out to fourth.

Meanwhile, Hoey is planning a winter programme which will take him around the world. In January he heads for Florida and then to India and Portugal.
