Celtic League:  The curious eyes at Donnybrook will be on New Zealand's 29-year-old David Holwell, who is set make his Irish debut on Sunday when Leinster take on Edinburgh.

The Leinster coach, Declan Kidney, has named the former Wellington outhalf to partner Brian O'Meara in the Celtic League match, with Guy Easterby dropping to the replacements.

Girvan Dempsey also makes his seasonal debut, at full back, the position his Ireland team-mate Denis Hickie has been holding down lately. Kidney, however, has named Hickie on the bench and has also left a replacement position vacant for an outside back, possibly Gordon D'Arcy.

That slot will not be filled until later in the week as Kidney seeks a successful formula before going into Leinster's first Heineken Cup match in two weeks' time.

Shane Horgan and Gary Brown have been retained on the wings - Brown with four tries is the team's top scorer - with inside centre Felipe Contepomi partnering Brian O'Driscoll in the centre.

In the forwards Leo Cullen and Aidan McCullen have also been handed starts, with Emmett Byrne reclaiming his place in the front row at tight-head prop as Ricky Nebbett also drops to the bench.

Munster coach Alan Gaffney also makes a number of changes, some forced, for their game in Glasgow. Ireland's David Wallace appears again in the back row as open-side flanker, while the ever-improving Denis Leamy drops to the bench.

On the wing Shaun Payne starts as John Kelly also gives way.

Gaffney makes no change to the front row, where Marcus Horan, Frankie Sheahan and John Hayes again start, although he has been forced to leave out the Ireland second-row duo of Paul O'Connell and Donncha O'Callaghan.

O'Callaghan has yet to recover from a torn calf muscle sustained last week, while O'Connell misses the game because of a rib injury.

As a consequence, Tom Bowman and Trevor Hogan line out for a match Munster would normally be expected to win.

The two sides have met on three previous occasions, all last season, with Munster winning both Celtic League clashes but the Scots clinching the Celtic Cup quarter-final tie last October.
