Springbok fly-half Henry Honiball will replace Franco Smith in South Africa's one-off Test against England in Cape Town on Saturday, representing just one change to the team that whipped Wales last weekend.

Smith, still suffering from a hamstring injury sustained during the 96-13 win over Wales, failed a fitness test on yesterday. This forced Springbok coach Nick Mallett to abandon his original plans of shifting Smith to centre in place of Pieter Muller, with Honiball at fly-half.

Mallett says the Springboks are expecting a tough game from England and were impressed with the European team's effort against New Zealand in Auckland last Saturday, despite having gone down 40-10.

The South Africans, fresh from the Wales trouncing and a three-two-match win over Ireland, are in turn expected to give England a "direct and physical onslaught", according to English captain Matt Dawson.
