Alcoholism costs the country a staggering £1 billion each year. Hope House in Foxford, Co Mayo is an organisation dedicated to helping people recover from alcoholism and other addictions. Services include residential and continuing care for adults with support programmes for families affected. To help defray some of the costs a Golf Classic will be held at the Galway Bay golf Club on Monday September 3rd 2001 which has been endorsed by Christy O'Connor junior. The event is a team of four and costs £500 which includes dinner and entertainment.
