National League Premier Division/Drogheda United 0 Bohemians 3: Bohemians leap-frogged Drogheda into second place in the Premier Division table with this resounding victory over a side that had conceded only two goals in their previous 10 outings.

The visitors were two goals to the good at the break and sealed the win with Kevin Hunt's second goal 20 minutes from time.

Bohemians went close on eight minutes when Tony Grant shot into the side netting. They got the opener with just 13 minutes gone when Glen Crowe held the ball up on the right side of the box and laid it off to Hunt who found the net from 10 yards.

Drogheda almost equalised on 26 minutes when Alan Reilly's shot from a corner was turned goalwards by Danny O'Connor for Hunt to clear from the visitors' line.

Straightaway Bohemians made it two, courtesy of a dreadful error by O'Connor who pushed the ball straight to Crowe to hammer home from 22 yards.

Five minutes from half-time United almost pulled a goal back when David Sullivan crossed for Bohemians defender Damian Lynch to knock the ball narrowly over his crossbar.

Bohemians made it three when from a corner the defence hesitated allowing Hunt to knock the ball home from close range.
