Hurling/ Kehoe Cup:Wicklow  3-11,  Carlow  0-13: Wicklow hurlers, showing far sharper finishing and greater teamwork than Michael Walsh's Carlow side, deservedly progressed in the Kehoe Cup at Dr Cullen Park yesterday, defeating the home county by a seven-point margin.

Don Hyland at full forward, Wicklow's first ever Leinster player, did most of the damage on the home defence scoring 2-4 from play.

Carlow's Des Murphy was sent off for a second yellow card offence 10 minutes from time and Hyland had the final say with a well-taken goal in injury-time.
