South African Trevor Immelman climbed 14 places to 15th in the world rankings after winning the PGA Tour's Western Open yesterday.
The 26-year-old Immelman picked up his maiden victory on the tour when he beat world number one Tiger Woods and Australian Mathew Goggin by two strokes at Lemont, Illinois.
Wales's Stephen Dodd rose 68 positions to 60th after lifting the European Open title at the K-Club in Kildare. It was the 39-year-old's third win on the European Tour.
There were small ranking changes with regards to the four Irishmen currently in the world's top 100.
Padraig Harrington moved back in front of Darren Clarke as the Dubliner climbed three places up to 18th despite finishing one under and two behind Clarke at the K-Club. The Tyroneman dropped two places to 21st this week.
Paul McGinley rose four places to 44th after racing into a tie for fourth at the weekend while Graeme McDowell dropped seven places to 92nd in the latest rankings.
