World Rankings: Trevor Immelman moved up 14 places to 15th in the latest world rankings after his US Masters win at Augusta yesterday.
The 28-year-old became only the second South African after Gary Player to wear the famous green jacket after finishing three shots clear of Tiger Woods.
Difficult conditions meant Immelman won despite shooting a final round 75 for an eight-under 280 aggregate. Woods appeared primed to make a charge but too many errors meant the world number one's challenge came up short.
There is no change in the top six players in the rankings, with Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els second and third respectively behind Woods.
Padraig Harrington closed out his Masters campaign with a battling level par 72 to finish tied fifth. He also moves up one place to 11th in the rankings.
Graeme McDowell is the next Irishman in the standings at 62nd, while Paul McGinley is 140th. Rory McIlroy is just outside the top 200 at 201st, 38 places better than Darren Clarke.
