Ince faces a possible ban

Middlesbrough midfielder Paul Ince faces a possible ban of at least two matches after being charged by the English FA

Middlesbrough midfielder Paul Ince faces a possible ban of at least two matches after being charged by the English FA. The England international is accused of aiming abusive and insulting language at one of the referee's assistants during Middlesbrough's Premiership game at Derby on September 6th.

The match ended as a 3-3 draw after Middlesbrough had initially led 3-0 and was marred by a controversial incident which led to Ince's alleged outburst.

Ince kicked the ball out of play to allow Phil Stamp to receive treatment yet Dean Sturridge directed the ensuing throw-in to a team-mate rather than returning it to the visitors as conventions - although not the rules - dictate.
