Marquis Grissom flashed some more of his "Fall Classic" hitting form and Bip Roberts had a key two-run single as the Cleveland Indians pecked out a 6-1 win over the Florida Marlins on Sunday to even the World Series at a game apiece.

Grissom went three-for-four to lead the Indians' 14-hit attack, which sent the best-of-seven series back to Cleveland for the next three games starting today. Cleveland starter Chad Ogea got the win, going 6 2/3 innings while yielding just one run on seven hits with one walk and four strikeouts as he out-dueled Marlins ace Kevin Brown.

"He did an outstanding job," Indians catcher Sandy Alomar, who slugged a homer off Brown, said about Ogea's performance.

"He had location the entire night. If he keeps his pitches low he will be an important pitcher for us in this series."

Offensive support for Ogea was boosted by centerfielder Grissom, who seems to thrive in the World Series.

Grissom's first hit was a single through the hole to left for the first tally in a three-run fifth inning that snapped a 1-1 tie. One batter later, Roberts sent a seeing-eye single up the middle to drive in Alomar and Grissom.

Florida right-hander Brown enjoyed none of the heroics of the deciding sixth game of the National League Championship Series when he gutted out a complete-game victory.

He yielded six runs on 10 hits with two walks and four strikeouts. The six runs were the most he has yielded in four starts this post season.
