An injury to Enniscorthy scrum-half James Carthy led to the postponement of the Wexford school's match with St David's of Greystones at Wicklow yesterday. Carthy, who later got the all-clear, was brought to Loughlinstown Hospital after sustaining a neck injury in a tackle. After a 45-minute delay, the match was abandoned. St David's were leading 17-0 as the match approached half-time. The game has yet to be rescheduled.
The match between St Oliver's and Moyne at Navan RFC was also abandoned. Both teams were ready for action when it was decided to call off the game as there was inadequate padding on the goalposts.
