Champions League Round-up: Inter Milan maintained their 100 per cent record in Group G after comprehensively beating Anderlecht 3-1 in Belgium.
Obafemi Martins gave Inter a eighth-minute lead, and further goals from Adriano and Dejan Stankovic after the interval emphasised the superiority of Roberto Mancini's side. Walter Baseggio snatched a late consolation for the Belgian champions.
In the group's other match, Angelos Charisteas struck for Werder Bremen, who beat 10-man Valencia 2-1 in Germany.
Charisteas netted the decider for Werder after 84 minutes.
Vicente opened the scoring for the visitors, but Bremen hit back through Miroslav Klose on the hour mark just five minutes after Carlos Marchena had been dismissed.
In Group E, PSV Eindhoven battled to a 1-0 win over Panathinaikos to move second behind leaders Arsenal.
With 10 minutes remaining Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink broke the deadlock with a deflected header to beat Greek goalkeeper Kostas Chalkias.
Both sides now have three points from two games, one fewer than Arsenal.
