Geraldine Ward from the Portmarnock Pitch and Putt club will captain the Irish team against the Rest of Europe in an international challenge at the Tolcinasco Club near Milan tomorrow. Ward will be joined by Marian Byrne and Bernadette Coffey from the St Brigid's club, Margaret Campbell (Glenville), Claire Murphy (ESB Cork) and Linda O'Donovan-Murphy (Collins, Cork). The format - held under the auspices of the European Pitch and Putt Association - will be three fourball matches followed by six singles. The Irish players will also contest a 36-hole Open Amateur Tournament on Thursday and Friday, hosted by the Fererazione Italiana P&P. The Rest of Europe side is: Laura Tessera (Italy), Jenny Wisson (Britain), Pilar Montero (Catalonia, Herma Olthuis (Holland), Maru Toledo (Catalonia) and Michelle Hudson (France).
