News: Ireland's under-17s rounded off a good week at the Hungarian International Tournament with a 2-0 defeat of the Czech Republic to gave Noel O'Reilly's side victory in the competition.

Shelbourne's Anthony Stokes - linked with a move to Arsenal - scored a goal in each half to give the Republic a win which will leave O'Reilly and his players confident ahead of October's European Championship qualifying mini-tournament in Switzerland.

Sean Thornton has been ruled out of tomorrow's under-21 international game against Poland in Gdansk after picking up an ankle injury in Sunderland's defeat by Millwall over the weekend.

Coventry's Michael Doyle also misses the game due to a rib injury, while Jonathan Daly had previously withdrawn from the trip with an ankle injury. Brian Cash of Nottingham Forest and Kidderminster's Graham Ward have been drafted in by Don Givens, who had already added Bray's Eamon Zayed to the squad.
