US TOUR:PÁDRAIG HARRINGTON and Graeme McDowell will have to find something special in today's closing round of the Deutsche Bank Championship in Boston if they wish to retain an interest in the FedEx Cup play-offs.

The two Irish players shot rounds of one-under-par 70 yesterday to leave McDowell on four under for the tournament with Harrington three strokes further back.

With only the top 70 players in the standings advancing to next week’s BMW Championship, McDowell was lying in a projected 71st place last night while Harrington was precariously placed in 88th position.

Bubba Watson held a one-shot lead coming towards the end of the third round, with Jason Day, Chez Reavie, Adam Scott and Jerry Kelly all in close pursuit.
