Not content with stopping a shot on his own goal line, Ian Harte kept Leeds' Cup hopes flickering after delivering a thundering equaliser against Spurs at Elland Road on Saturday.

Roy Keane was rested by Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson as his team overcame Fulham comfortably at Old Trafford.

Sheffield United keeper and Ireland number two Alan Kelly (right) was at the heart of the conduct controversy at Highbury. Kelly initially kicked the ball to touch so play could be stopped to attend an injury to Lee Morris and could only watch on in amazement as Kanu intercepted Ray Parlour's attempted return throw. Kelly was among the first of the Sheffield players to voice his protests to referee Peter Jones. Robbie Keane was on target for Wolves in their 3-1 win against Port Vale in Division one.

Although Cardiff went down 1-0 to Barnet at the weekend, Wayne O'Sullivan and the Irish-in-Britain leading scorer Kevin Nugent both hit the mark against Rhyl in the Welsh Cup on Wednesday.
