Scotland have been pitted against Ireland on the opening week of the new Celtic League.

Both Scottish Super Districts will face Irish opposition on the opening weekend of the competition in August, with Glasgow Caledonians travelling to Leinster in Pool A and Edinburgh Reivers hosting 2000 Heineken Cup finalists Munster.

Of the five Welsh representatives in Pool A, Swansea face the stiffest early test with their visit to Ulster, while Cardiff entertain Connacht in Pool B.

Fifteen teams have entered the tournament, with group games set to be completed by the middle of September and the knock-out stages taking place in December.
