KIRSTEN McGARRY:  The latest Olympian from Ireland's first family of winter sports

KIRSTEN McGARRY:  The latest Olympian from Ireland's first family of winter sports. The McGarrys pioneered the way for skiing in Ireland, when Ian and Jean McGarry set up a ski school in Chatel, France.

Kirsten's sister Tamsin was the first woman to represent Ireland in the Winter Olympics, at Salt Lake City two years ago.

Kirsten has been skiing competitively since the age of nine and competes full time on the European Cup circuit.

She hopes to finish in the top 40 in Turin and is building towards the 2010 games in Vancouver.
