USPGA champion Keegan Bradley is considering the possibility of playing in next month’s Irish Open at Royal Portrush. “Have I let something out of the bag?” wondered Pádraig Harrington in revealing that Bradley, who comes from Boston-Irish extraction with his great-grandparents hailing from Co Cork, has been “asking questions” on how to get to Portrush and about suitable accommodation in the area.
Bradley’s presence would add further lustre to a field that will definitely feature all four of Ireland’s recent Major champions – Harrington, Rory McIlroy, Darren Clarke and Graeme McDowell. – Former British Open champion Paul Lawrie is also a possible starter.
