Golf Digest/European Tour: While most of the European Tour's star names are in Medinah for the USPGA Championship this weekend four of Ireland's tour players will be battling it out in the Russian Open at Le Meridien Moscow Country Club.
Gary Murphy, Michael Hoey, David Higgins and Stephen Browne will be hoping to take advantage as they chase the top prize of €130,641 and an exemption until the end of the 2008 season.
This year sees the Russian Open become a fully fledged European Tour International Schedule tournament for the first time and with full European Tour status comes a substantial increase in prize money from the €400,000 on offer last year to this year's figure of €783,880.
