EQUESTRIAN:Ireland's show jumpers notched up an impressive 10 international victories over the weekend, with Billy Twomey claiming the biggest scalp of all when winning last night's French Grand Prix in St Tropez, reports Grania Willis.

The 30-year-old Cork rider scooped the €10,000 winner's purse with a superb double clear from the mare Anastasia, stopping the clock on 37.76 seconds to claim the title by almost a full second from French runner-up Florian Angot.

Jessica Kürten and Cian O'Connor claimed young horse championships - Kürten in Balve, Germany, where she also won Saturday's feature jump-off, and O'Connor, in Poznan, Poland.

Cameron Hanley also recorded a double at the Italian fixture in Naples.
