CRICKET: Defending champions Ireland have named a squad of 12 for next week's ICC InterContinental Cup clash with Namibia at Castle Avenue.

Wicket-keeper batsman Gary Wilson and left-arm spinner Gary Kidd are called up into the senior side, following impressive displays in February's Under-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka, and the EurAsia Series in Abu Dhabi earlier this month.

All-rounder John Mooney is unavailable for the four-day match, which gets under way on Wednesday while Niall O'Brien and Andy White are on duty with their respective counties. Mooney's brother Paul is recalled to the squad following injury.

Ireland won the 2005 InterContinental Cup by beating Kenya in the final last October in Namibia.
